Classic Chicken Salad
My quick, easy, and classic chicken salad recipe. Perfect for making sandwiches, wraps, or enjoying as a delicious and healthy snack.
This traditional chicken salad recipe, made with simple ingredients, is perfect for quick and tasty lunches. It’s great to keep in the fridge to enjoy throughout the week, or as a go-to lunch option. Gluten-free, high in protein, and low in carbs.
Ingredients:
1 chicken breast – you can use leftover rotisserie chicken to save time
Mayonnaise (4 tbsp) – I use light mayo to cut down on calories, but feel free to use your favorite
Celery – chopped into small pieces to add freshness to the salad
Red onion – adds a stronger flavor and gives the chicken salad an extra punch
Parsley or cilantro – optional, depending on your taste
Dijon mustard (1 tsp) – for a little extra flavor
Salt and black pepper – to taste
How to Make It:
Season the chicken breast with lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste. Cook until tender and golden.
Shred the chicken or cut it into very small pieces.
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Adjust the amount of salt and pepper to your liking.
Enjoy!
